Thank you for your interest in our extraordinary school, we encourage you to come for a visit and see the Montgomery Academy difference for yourself. Parents and school districts come to us when they are trying to help a young person find a place where they can truly be themselves- a school which will cater to and celebrate what is unique about them as an individual learner. Oftentimes the prospective student has been struggling with certain aspects of school life and seeks a comfortable alternative. At Montgomery Academy, these young people can achieve the goals and objectives of their IEP and have the positive school experience they deserve- and are entitled to- socially, emotionally and academically.

Admission to Montgomery Academy usually begins when the prospective student’s home district furnishes the appropriate student records for a preliminary screening. These records are reviewed by our Therapeutic Team and an intake interview is scheduled if the student appears to be a good candidate for our program. The intake meeting involves the student, parent(s) or guardian, a representative from the school district and members of our professional staff. Acceptance is determined by this collective assessment of how the particular student’s needs can best be met- and of course- how the student and his or her family feel. Though tuition is usually underwritten by the home district, private pay options are also available.

We look forward to meeting you and your child and invite you to “Spend the Day at MA” – a way for students to check things out first hand. If you are interested in seeing our program in action, please contact our main office at 908/766-0362 to schedule a tour or to speak with the member of our staff who is best equipped to answer your questions.
