    Technology

We believe technology should be used to enhance student learning, improve communication and efficiently manage information. The incorporation of technology not only prepares students with increasingly necessary life skills but also broadens and deepens student learning. Specifically, we utilize the strength of computers to promote collaborative learning, to teach and improve research skills and information literacy, to develop critical thinking skills, to encourage creativity and to individualize learning across the curriculum.

To support this program, keyboarding skills are introduced early and the use of software applications like Word and Excel are integrated throughout the curriculum. Montgomery Academy has an Acceptable Use Policy governing the accessibility of website material and the appropriate use of technology resources. In addition, all of our computers have high-speed Internet access while SmartBoards and iPads are used in the classroom to enhance student learning.
