Transition Programs – Make it Real (MIR)

The Make It Real (MIR) Program helps students develop the skills and knowledge they need to ensure a smooth transition throughout high school and into the world of work and post-secondary education.  The students in the MIR Program will gain hands-on job training, self-determination, and experience within the school building, as well as out in the local community.

When students graduate from the MIR program, they understand their available employment options and have narrowed down not only a career path, but a path into adulthood.  They are supported every step of the way and are empowered as contributing citizens to our society as a result of their intense preparation and achievement.

Montgomery Academy’s Make It Real (MIR) Transition Program now has a Blog!

www.makeitrealma.blogspot.com

We are proud to announce a new web log (blog) has been created for The Make It Real Transition Program! The blog details our program and chronicles our students’ internships, community service, and job shadowing experiences, in-house projects, and their thoughts. It also serves as a hub for upcoming events and relevant links and resources for students and families.

Online career and interest inventories will also be available on the blog, as well as student and family resources and links. In conjunction with the newly redesigned montgomeryacademyonline.com website, this blog will keep all stakeholders up to date with what our students are achieving in the program.

Please bookmark this link as it will be updated several times a week! The blog will also be linked to on Montgomery Academy’s website.
